THE BENEFIT OF THE SCOOTER ENGINE IS THAT ALONG WITH THE BEARINGS AND SHAFT IS A NICE PERMANENT MAGNET GENERATOR
WHEN THE ENGINE IS RUNNING IN ITS ORIGINAL FORM IT IS RUNNING IN THE REGION OF 2000 RPM - 8000 RPM AND GENERATING ITS POWER AT THIS SPEED - FOR THE LIGHTS AND BATTERY CHARGING - UP TO ABOUT 50 WATTS.
WHEN THE SHAFT / GENERATOR IS USED IN THE WIND TURBINE IT WILL RUN AT APPROXIMATELY 10% OF THIS SPEED - SO THE GENERATOR WILL NEED ITS FIELD WINGDINGS CHANGING AND INCREASING TO ENABLE IT IT TO GENERATE USABLE POWER AT THE SLOWER SPEED IT WAS ORIGINALLY DESIGNED TO DO.
